James Burnett is a songwriter, composer, publisher, and music supervisor whose work spans hit records and acclaimed projects for visual media. He is the founder and chief creative officer at Burnett Music; composer at Neon Orchestra; and guitarist for Little Dume.
As executive soundtrack producer for Deadpool 2, James helped bring to life “Ashes” by Celine Dion, which became a global hit. His songwriting credits include chart-topping releases such as “Settle,” the lead single from Jordan Smith’s #1 album Something Beautiful, and “Craving” by Arty and Audien, a Billboard Dance #1.
He composed Billy Shakespeare, the original runway score for London Fashion Week’s Prophetik opening show at the Tower of London. He is also the executive music producer of Neon Orchestra projects including Jimmy Fallon’s NBC series On Brand and HBO’s docu-series Celtics City, and music supervisor of films and television series including Amazon MGM Studios’ American Gladiators, Billy Knight starring Al Pacino, Charlie Heaton, and Diana Silvers, and This Is The Year executive produced by David Henrie and Selena Gomez.
